Reflecting on my progress as a writer during the semester and showing the topics I’ve acquired knowledge in is an integral part of self-assessment. This allows me to evaluate any effort on both personal and course-related standards. What areas have I improved? Are there topics that I’m still struggling with? What plans do I have for my writing career? Did I meet my personal goals? There is a myriad of questions to self-evaluate the progress that I have made through the semester. As a result, in this essay, I will reflect on what I have learned this semester, synthesize those lessons in writing, and discuss how I intend to build on them as a literature student.
